The two must learn to work together in order to defeat witches and unravel a curse that has enslaved an entire land.

Book Reviewed: "...Excellent story! Filled with goblins, trolls, dwarfs, ghosts (life-drainers), windborne hounds, a wizard, elves, shadow creatures ... you get the idea... All-in-all, in my opinion, this is one of the best fantasy e-books I have read! Highly recommended!" ~ Detra Fitch of Huntress Book Reviews!

"... an exciting young adult fantasy tale that will remind readers of early Norton and The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. The story line is enjoyable as the two intrepid heroes battle impossible odds to try to save a realm while seeking a passage through the haunted tree to their home. Sullivan demonstrates her abilities as a first-rate storyteller with this fabulous teen fantasy adventure." ~ Harriet Klausner of Sime-Gen Reviews, http://www.simegen.com/reviews

Agents and Adepts
genre: Science Fiction: anthology
Sixteen stories of magic and off-world adventure. Here you’ll find tales of wizards training apprentices and interstellar operatives protecting more primitive worlds. How does one university cope with a student from very far away, and where do some wizards get their supplies? These are stories of agents of change and adepts in more than magic. Gathered here also are several tales from the land of the award-winning The Crystal Throne from both the far past and the near present: “And Softly Follow,” where a young man whose dreams foretell the future contacts the wizard Calada for help; “Horsefeathers,” the story of a young girl who can talk with animals sent to find the feather of a horse; and “The Windkin,” where tradition and love of knowledge clash.

Book Reviewed: "An added bonus is that several entries provide a delightful glimpse into the wizard world of the CRYSTAL THRONE. If the quality of these short stories is any indication of the novel, this reviewer will compete with other readers to obtain a copy. Using humor that is rarely seen in the typical save the world or die genre, Kathryn Sullivan furbishes a wonderful book that makes fantasy seem real, fun to read, and entertaining..." "...this would be ideal for a youngster getting his or her first taste of fantasy..." ~ Steve Westcott at Eternal Night
